Hi, I’m Nat!
I’m 29 years old. I am a woman of many passions which include (but are not limited to) fitness, travel, health, horses, food, and hiking.
I grew up riding horses and working in show barns from 9-18 years old. My passion for horses and animals led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2016 with an Animal Science degree. While going to school, I worked in a veterinary clinic and realized how unhappy I was. Anxious, overwhelmed, depressed. I realized very early on; veterinary medicine was not a career for me.
In college, I had a very unhealthy lifestyle–didn’t cook for myself, slept 3-4 hours a night, binge drank and ate on weekends, and would attempt to “balance” my weekends by restricting myself during the week. So much so, I needed medication for depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
After graduation, I had no idea what I wanted to do but knew I was unhappy and wanted to be “happy” before I started anything. I focused on training, nutrition, and educating myself. I will admit at the start, I was very extreme. Knowing what I know now I would have incorporated more balance, rest, and a lot more strength training over cardio.
I took the Personal Trainer Certification as a “why not!?” I figured I would learn how to help myself at the VERY least.
I lost 25 pounds over the course of 6-8 months after college and fell in love with fitness, feeling good, and began to really explore meditation, spirituality, and learning new tools and lifestyle habits to get my mental health back on track.
