About Me

Hi, I’m Nat!

I’m 29 years old. I am a woman of many passions which include (but are not limited to) fitness, travel, health, horses, food, and hiking.

I grew up riding horses and working in show barns from 9-18 years old. My passion for horses and animals led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2016 with an Animal Science degree. While going to school, I worked in a veterinary clinic and realized how unhappy I was. Anxious, overwhelmed, depressed. I realized very early on; veterinary medicine was not a career for me.

In college, I had a very unhealthy lifestyle–didn’t cook for myself, slept 3-4 hours a night, binge drank and ate on weekends, and would attempt to “balance” my weekends by restricting myself during the week. So much so, I needed medication for depression, anxiety, and insomnia.

After graduation, I had no idea what I wanted to do but knew I was unhappy and wanted to be “happy” before I started anything. I focused on training, nutrition, and educating myself. I will admit at the start, I was very extreme. Knowing what I know now I would have incorporated more balance, rest, and a lot more strength training over cardio.

I took the Personal Trainer Certification as a “why not!?” I figured I would learn how to help myself at the VERY least.

I lost 25 pounds over the course of 6-8 months after college and fell in love with fitness, feeling good, and began to really explore meditation, spirituality, and learning new tools and lifestyle habits to get my mental health back on track.

Here we are 6 years later

I’ve been a Certified Personal Trainer since January 2018. Fun fact: I have 3 PT certifications in 2 countries (ACE, Cert III & IV in Fitness in Australia)

I’ve worked at 6 different group training studios and 1 personal training studio, and have had my own personal clients all along the way.

I moved to Melbourne, Australia June 2019 and came back in May 2020 due to the global pandemic.

The pandemic forced me to convert my training services online which is the BEST thing to come out of last year by far!

McCright Fitness LLC was born in January 2021–my first business!

Who I Coach

I work with women who not only want to lose weight, they want to keep it off!  They are ready to look at their lifestyle as a whole and decide what is no longer serving them and what to do instead to not only look their best but feel their best. We focus on permanent transformations. We want to make sure you not only reach your goals and achieve results, but we also want you to learn the tools so you can keep them forever and continue reaching higher goals.

I coach beginner lifters all the way to advanced gym goers. Most of my clients have never properly followed a strength training program and have been going to group fitness classes, cycling, and HIIT boot camps for YEARS and have never seen their desired results!

Extremes are easy. Balance is hard.

A lot of my clients are used to extremes, diets, “detox” cleanses, insane workouts, and losing a lot of weight fast only to gain it back (and then some).

I’m not about flashy results, quick fixes, or tricks. We are in it for the long haul. Together we’ll look at your behavior, your relationship with food, your feelings towards exercise, how you identify yourself, the beliefs you have about yourself and your abilities, etc.

We change habits for LIFE, so you can live your best life in balance with your mind, body, and soul (spirit, purpose, the universe, God–whatever you identify with).
